Brian Timoney Actors Studio

Brian Timoney Actors Studio: acting training for adults in London

Brian Timoney Actors Studio is an acting school based in London specialising in training adults who want to become professional actors in film, television, and theatre. Its approach is built around the Timoney Method®, an acting training and career launch system created by Brian Timoney and presented by the school as the only complete system of its kind in the UK designed specifically for adults, without the need to spend three years at a traditional drama school.

The method and its creator

Brian Timoney is the creator of the Timoney Method®. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry, working as an actor, director, producer, and coach in theatre, film, and television. He has personally trained more than 1,300 aspiring actors, most of them with no previous experience, and has taught method acting at the BBC. He has worked alongside directors such as Ken Loach and Danny Boyle and is the author of the international guide The Ultimate Guide to Method Acting.

The method is presented as a unique approach that draws on the teachings of method and physical acting educators such as Yevgeny Vakhtangov and Nikolai (the scanned text is truncated at this point).

Programmes and training resources

The school structures its offering into acting courses and training programmes, including the Ultimate Acting Programme, from which many of the actors cited in its success stories have graduated. The website also offers resources such as the free book The Ultimate Guide To Method Acting, an official knowledge base, and a master FAQ on the Timoney Method®, as well as showreels, testimonials, and blog sections.
