Preferred Joinery: bespoke timber joinery in Liverpool since 1997

Preferred Joinery is a bespoke timber joinery workshop based in Liverpool, operating since 1997. The company designs, manufactures and installs joinery for homes and commercial spaces, and its area of operation extends across the North West of England, with a presence in Liverpool, Wirral, Runcorn, Warrington, Southport and Skelmersdale, among other areas.

The workshop presents itself as specialising in full joinery installations and works on both heritage properties and character homes and high-end commercial fit-outs. All production takes place in its workshops and installation is carried out by its own joiners.

Timber doors and windows

The company manufactures bespoke timber doors in any style or design, including external doors, internal doors, French doors, patio doors and bi-folding doors. Each piece is made to order for the property and the client.

In the windows section, the range covers everything from traditional sliding sash windows to modern high-performance designs. The company highlights the handcrafted work and the final fitting by experienced installers.

Staircases, porches and garden gates

Preferred Joinery builds bespoke staircases in styles such as straight, dog-leg, winders and open-tread. The team supports the client from design through to on-site installation.

It also designs, manufactures and installs timber porches, which the company associates with improvements in security, reduced heat loss, greater energy efficiency and additional space. Outdoors, it produces timber garden gates in traditional or contemporary styles, aimed at improving privacy and security.

Architectural joinery

The architectural joinery section covers all the timber components of a building, from beams to bespoke window frames. Completed projects include period interiors, panelled rooms, staircases, doors and mantels. These works are manufactured in the workshop and installed by its own staff.

Commercial projects

The company works for commercial clients across the North West of England and mentions decades of experience in this field. The sectors it serves include restaurants, bars, shops and hotels.
