About Techneat Engineering Ltd

Techneat Engineering, application machinery for agriculture and ground care

Techneat Engineering Ltd is a British manufacturer based in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of specialist application equipment for the agricultural and ground care markets. The company presents itself as a manufacturer of high-quality machinery and a rotomoulding specialist, active since 1984, with a facility that has expanded to cover two sites.

Its offering combines in-house design and production capabilities, including a fabrication workshop and five rotomoulding machines. The company structures its activity into several areas: rotomoulding, engineering services, training, agricultural products and ground care / lawncare products.

Agricultural equipment and applications

The agricultural catalogue is organised both by machine type and by application. Among the machines are the Multicast and Outcast ranges, the Microdrive system, the nematicide applicator, the IN furrow V2 version, Nutristart, Placement Pro, Weed Wizard, the Apcal cartridge, irrigation baskets, Rotorscare, Vari-Scary and the Birdscarer.

By application type, the equipment covers the use of slug pellets, cover crops, small seeds, micro granules, fertiliser, grass seed and bird scaring.

Ground care and lawncare line

In the ground care segment, the company markets the ProE-Glide, ProE-Spray, SPPS, Prodrift, Acuspray, Acuspray Solo, Acuspray De-icer and Aculine models. The Mantovani range includes the SC95 trailed scarifier, the SC60-D self-propelled scarifier, the SC45-SW, the SC38 and the LVS30 PRO S leaf and grass vacuum.

Rotomoulding: design and manufacture of plastic parts

Techneat has been rotomoulding since 1995 and offers a service that covers everything from project conception and the research and design stages through to the manufacture of the final product. The company has five moulding machines and can produce moulds up to 6.2 metres long by 2.8 metres in diameter.

Rotomoulding is a technique for forming plastics into seamless parts, suitable for three-dimensional shapes and hollow vessels. The process introduces powdered or granular plastic into a specially designed mould, which is baked while rotating slowly and in a controlled manner on one or more axes. The heat, around 220 degrees Celsius, melts the particles and creates a softened polymer that spreads across the inner walls of the mould, building the part layer by layer until a hollow, joint-free shape is obtained. The mould is then cooled, usually with cold air or a fine water mist, so that the part solidifies before being removed.

According to the company, this method accommodates a wide variety of sizes and specifications, allows several parts to be moulded at once — an advantage for short runs — and supports complex designs with reinforcements, stiffening ribs, moulded inserts or alternative surface textures. It also provides uniform thickness and typically thicker corners, which favours the strength and integrity of the product. Cast aluminium or stainless steel moulds do not have to withstand high pressures, which reduces their manufacturing cost. The polyethylene used is versatile, durable, recyclable many times over and cost-effective, with applications in agriculture, food, marine, automotive and outdoor leisure.

Rotomoulding applications

The company lists the types of product it can manufacture by rotomoulding:

  • Agriculture and handling: sprayer tanks, boxes, pallets, water and header tanks, and chemical containers.
  • Food: insulated boxes for fish and meat.
  • Environment: litter bins, traffic cones, bollards, traffic separators and road signs.
  • Marine and nautical: floats, buoys and pontoons, kayaks, canoes and boats.
  • Automotive: mudguards, ducts, diesel fuel tanks, toolboxes and tractor dashboards.
  • Outdoor: playground equipment, toys, planters, water tanks and furniture.

Engineering and manufacturing services

Techneat's engineering area includes laser cutting, press brake bending, robot welding, fabrication and metal finishing. The company also offers training and maintains an equipment hire line, as well as selling stock machinery, Techneat tanks and products from the Jobec and Contented Products brands.

The company identifies itself as a member of the BPF (British Plastics Federation).

Recent activity

Among the news items published on its website are an article about a one-pass train for rapid cover crop establishment (July 2026), another about timely application for better lawn service results (April 2026) and a third entitled "Slowly finding its spot" (March 2026).
