Old Thorns Hotel & Resort

Old Thorns brings accommodations, golf, a spa, and dining together on 400 acres of Hampshire countryside near Liphook. The resort combines hotel rooms with apartments and penthouses for groups, allowing stays built around different interests. Golf trips, family celebrations, and business gatherings use dedicated spaces within the same property.

The hotel lists 150 rooms. Superior rooms have a king bed configurable as a double or twin, a television, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a private bathroom. Deluxe rooms add space and a sofa bed for a third guest. Family rooms have two king beds that can be split and accommodate up to four people. Connecting rooms and accessible rooms are also available, the latter with accessible shower bathrooms and locations near reception and restaurants.

Two-bedroom apartments accommodate four people on a single floor, with an open-plan living and dining area and a private marble bathroom for each bedroom. Three-bedroom penthouses accommodate six people across two floors. Their position beside the ninth hole offers views of the golf course and countryside, with secure access, elevators, and private parking. These are distinct options from the hotel bedrooms.

Dining is divided among Kings Restaurant, the Sports Bar, Oties Café, and the Atrium Cocktail Bar, alongside afternoon tea. The formats distinguish meals, drinks, and informal gatherings. Programming adds dinners with tribute shows, murder mystery evenings, and seasonal celebrations, while weddings and business meetings have dedicated spaces, packages, and planning services.

Golf, the TopTracer driving range, and group offerings sit alongside the spa, treatments, and health club. Hotel and apartment guests have complimentary use of the health and wellness area, including the gym and swimming pool. Children have designated swimming periods. Spa and golf packages contain different inclusions, so treatments and rounds are arranged according to the option chosen.

The 2026 calendar includes a specific closure: the entire resort and its facilities will close on November 2 for essential electrical work, with reopening expected on November 3. Kings Restaurant will also be closed for dinner on October 8. These exceptions are distinct from normal operations and matter when planning a stay combining accommodations and use of the facilities.
