KES Lighting & Home

KES Lighting & Home: indoor and outdoor lighting for the home and the professional

KES Lighting & Home is a British retailer specialising in lighting and home décor. The company presents itself as a family-run business operating since 1985, independent and still owned by the founding family. Its catalogue covers both indoor and outdoor lighting, with a selection of styles ranging from classic to contemporary, and also includes home accessories and furniture.

Indoor lighting catalogue

The indoor range is organised by product type and by room. Among the main categories are ceiling lights, with variants such as pendants, chandeliers, flush lights, semi-flush lights, multi-arm, lanterns and pendants for stairwells or kitchen islands. It also sells wall lights (traditional, modern, picture lights, uplighters and swing-arm reading lights), spotlights, table lamps, floor lamps and ceiling fans. The selection can be filtered by style — Italian, Scandinavian, industrial, smoked or rise and fall — and by finishes such as antique brass, warm gold, matt black, aged bronze, chrome and polished nickel.

The shop organises part of the catalogue by room: living room, kitchen, bathroom, staircase, outdoor & garden, bedroom, dining room and hallway. It also has specific sections for crystal lighting, solar and rechargeable lighting, and a statement lighting category.

Outdoor and porch lighting

The outdoor section includes ceiling lights, wall lights, porch lights, bollards, lamp posts, ground lights, pedestals and walkover lights for steps and entrances. It also offers solutions for coastal areas, outdoor heaters and products with motion sensors (PIR) or security function. The company groups part of this range under the «Coastal» label, aimed at exposed environments.

Trade focus and specialist service

The company explicitly targets the UK lighting trade, with the message that the price shown is the same for everyone, with no need for codes or special conditions. It offers telephone support through a lighting specialist and applies free UK delivery on orders over £100. The firm presents itself as a trusted supplier for the trade and states that it has established supplier terms and buying power built up over decades.

Informative content and Astro PRO range

The site maintains a section of practical guides produced by its team, with articles on the height and spacing of wall lights on staircases, the sizing and hanging of chandeliers in stairwell voids, or choosing ceiling lights for narrow or low hallways. The Astro PRO range is presented as a flexible solution to unify the look of lighting throughout the home, allowing you to choose finish, light output and colour temperature, with a 4000 K option for natural light for everyday use. The company states that this range is designed for professionals and is used by interior designers.
