My Pets Vets

My Pets Vets, veterinary clinic in Leigh (Greater Manchester)

My Pets Vets is a veterinary clinic located on Walter Leigh Way, at Moss Industrial Estate in Leigh, Greater Manchester. Founded in 2011 by a married couple of vets, the practice grew from a small surgery into modern facilities built specifically for its work. The clinic presents itself as a veterinary care centre for dogs, cats and rabbits, with a team that supports animals from their first vaccinations through to care for older animals.

Clinical and preventive services

The range of services covers general consultations, emergencies and home visits, as well as a 24-hour emergency service. In the preventive field, the clinic offers parasite control and prevention — fleas, ticks and worms — with protocols tailored separately for dogs and cats, as well as vaccination programmes for dogs, cats and rabbits.

Dog vaccines include those for parvovirus, canine distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, leptospirosis, kennel cough, rabies and canine herpes. The clinic also carries out microchipping and issues animal health certificates.

Surgery, neutering and dental care

Neutering is performed on dogs, cats and rabbits. The centre provides veterinary dentistry services for all three species, with specific attention to the dental health of dogs, cats and rabbits. The facilities include diagnostic areas, an operating theatre, dentistry and hospitalisation.

Complementary therapies and specialist care

My Pets Vets incorporates hydrotherapy services using the Water Walker system, acupuncture, therapeutic laser and dermatology. It also has nurse clinics and specific clinics for puppies, kittens and rabbits, and is recognised as a Cat Friendly Clinic, an accreditation focused on the care of cats.

Health programmes and monitoring

The clinic offers annual health checks, care for senior animals and weight management programmes for dogs, cats and rabbits. It also provides euthanasia and professional pet cremation services, and has a programme called Pet Health for Life aimed at reducing pet health costs.

History and organisation

With more than a decade of activity, the clinic is part of Linnaeus, a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated. Its team presents itself as a close-knit, family-oriented group, with ongoing care for clients in Leigh and its surrounding area in Greater Manchester.
