Leodis Stairlifts

Leodis Stairlifts, stairlifts in the North of England

Leodis Stairlifts is a family-run company established in 1991 that presents itself as one of the largest independent stairlift providers in the North of England. Its activity focuses on the sale, rental and maintenance of stairlifts for domestic use, both indoors and outdoors, and it operates in Yorkshire, Durham, Tyne & Wear, Lancashire and Manchester. The company identifies itself as a Which? Trusted Trader and states that it has more than 35 years of experience in the sector.

Stairlift range

The offering is organised into several product families, available new as well as reconditioned or second-hand:

• Straight stairlifts: for straight runs without bends, with purchase, rental and reconditioned model options.
• Curved stairlifts: custom-made for staircases with one or more turns, including complex cases such as spiral staircases, for which a continuous curved rail system is used.
• Outdoor stairlifts: straight and curved models for access with steps or slopes, with IP65 rating and compliance with British safety standards.
• Stairlifts for narrow stairs: a specific line for reduced spaces.
• Rental: a temporary option for those who need the solution for a limited period.

After-sales service and warranties

The company offers customer care and emergency call-outs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with same-day call-out service. The advertised warranty covers up to five years on parts and labour, and includes replacement parts and batteries. After installation, the team makes follow-up calls to the customer. The company stresses that calls are answered directly by its own staff, without external call centres, and that it does not use cold calling or high-pressure sales tactics: the quote is fixed and without obligation.

Buying process and conditions

According to the information published, the order is confirmed with a non-refundable deposit of £150, payable by bank transfer, cheque or card, and the balance is settled once installation is complete and the correct operation of the device has been checked. The company states that, in some cases, it can offer next-day installation, and that it does not pressure customers to take out extended warranties. It also notes that it leaves the home in the same state of cleanliness in which it found it.
