About Good Skin Days
Good Skin Days, medical skin clinic in Guiseley (Leeds)
Good Skin Days is a medical clinic registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) located in Guiseley, in the Leeds area (West Yorkshire). It opened its doors in early 2009 with the aim of offering minor surgery and laser skin treatments, and since then it has become, according to its own presentation, the largest clinic of its type in the north of England, with several awards for the quality of its treatments and patient care.
Medical team and clinical leadership
The clinic is led by Mr David Watt, consultant plastic surgeon and medical director, and has a team of consultants, doctors, nurses and skin specialists. Its specialists include consultant dermatologists who treat complex skin conditions such as rosacea, acne, facial veins and leg thread veins. The team carries out mole checks and removal, with the possibility of histological analysis, as well as mole monitoring, skin cancer screening and private skin cancer treatment.
Non-surgical aesthetic treatments
The aesthetic offering includes laser hair removal — also for men, Asian and dark skin, polycystic ovaries and transgender people — anti-ageing injectables, dermal and lip fillers, Volux Advanced Filler, Profhilo and Juvéderm Volite. For skin rejuvenation, Clear + Brilliant, microneedling with imedpen (formerly Dermapen), iS Clinical Fire & Ice Facial, Neostrata glycolic peels, Obagi Blue Peel Radiance and Obagi systems are offered, as well as polynucleotides and Secret RF skin tightening. Sclerotherapy for leg thread veins is also performed.
Laser treatments and specialist surgery
The laser section covers hair removal, facial vein removal, tattoos, warts and skin tags, and rhinophyma treatment. Specialist surgery includes upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), ear surgery (split earlobe and stretched earlobe reconstruction), inverted nipple surgery and removal of cherry angiomas, cysts, keloid scars, lipomas, moles, seborrhoeic keratosis and other skin lesions.
Dermatology and minor surgery
The clinic offers private dermatology for adult acne, chest and back acne, mole checks, pigmentation, rosacea and skin cancer screening. Minor surgery includes rhinophyma, inverted nipple surgery, split earlobe repair and stretched earlobe reconstruction, as well as upper blepharoplasty.
Technology and clinic features
Good Skin Days has thirteen class four medical lasers, which the clinic describes as the gold standard for laser skin treatments. Its rooms are equipped with the latest medical and aesthetic equipment. The centre is a purpose-built building, with an investment of £2.5 million, free on-site parking with twenty spaces and good bus and train connections: it is a five-minute walk from Guiseley station and the nearest bus stop is about fifty metres away. The clinic opens six days a week and offers a free initial consultation.
