About Perry Uniform
Perry Uniform, British manufacturer of school, university and club uniforms
Perry Uniform is a British designer and manufacturer of distinctive uniforms and sportswear for schools, universities and clubs. The company operates from its factory and distribution centre in Leeds, and its activity is organised into three areas: School, University and Club.
Origins and history
Perry's history dates back to 1946, when a factory for distinctive school uniforms was established in Leeds. In 1994, Caroline and Bernard Bunting founded The Children's Warehouse in London, a company designing and manufacturing high-quality children's clothing. The reputation of this firm led some schools to ask it to manufacture their school uniforms as well.
By 2007, The Children's Warehouse had grown considerably in the independent school uniform sector in London. That year, a chance phone call led the Buntings to acquire Perry, the Leeds factory. Since then, the Bunting family has developed Perry into what it describes as a leader in innovation and design as a supplier of uniforms to schools, universities and clubs. Anna, the founders' daughter, grew up in the business and now heads the University and Club division.
Facilities and capacity
The company maintains its factory and warehouse in Armley, west Leeds, close to its original locations. It also has three showrooms in Knightsbridge, London. The company presents itself as a family business that emphasises the quality of its garments and a friendly service.
Services for schools
The School area offers schools the possibility to find their school, place orders, book appointments and access advice. The website includes sections on how to order, how to measure, delivery, garment care and returns.
Services for universities and clubs
The University division allows users to find their university, find products, learn about the design process and make enquiries. The Club division, for its part, explains the advantages of working with Perry, the design options, allows users to find their club and submit enquiries. The company also offers club blazers and formalwear.
Design and product development
Perry has a textile design team and specially trained garment technologists who work with clients to interpret their vision and reflect it in garments that students and members are proud to wear. The company has been commissioned by prestigious organisations seeking to enhance their brand with garments that showcase their heritage.

The website brings together guidance on how to place orders, how to measure, delivery times, garment care and returns. The company serves schools, universities and clubs, and its catalogue and services are organised around these three areas.
