It's a Knockout and Totally Wiped Out

In 2001, Off Limits acquired the original games, props and costumes from the BBC television programme It's a Knockout. This activity, which remains one of the most in demand, also incorporates its own game designs. Building on its popularity, the company developed Totally Wiped Out, a team building game inspired by Knockout, Total Wipeout and Gladiators, consisting of an inflatable obstacle course designed to test the group's reflexes and competitive spirit.

Own resources and in-house team

The company has its own warehouse that includes quads, Powerturns, off-road karts, mini tanks, original It's a Knockout inflatables, costumes, casino tables, slot machines, a six-lane Scalextric and giant versions of classic games such as Connect 4 and Jenga. Most of the activities, events and party equipment featured in its catalogue are owned by Off Limits and operated by the company itself, which avoids subcontracting third parties.

The in-house team is made up of more than 40 professionals, including production designers, event managers and liaison staff. The company also has technical teams that design and deliver sets, light shows and multimedia presentations.

Track record and clients

Off Limits was founded by partners John and Peter as a jet ski rental company at Rother County Park in Sheffield. Since then, it has evolved into an international corporate event provider. The company states that it has been creating team building events since 1993 and works with internationally recognised brands such as John Lewis, Boots and McDonald's, as well as with family businesses and small companies.

In addition to designing and delivering activities, Off Limits offers full planning services: venue selection, booking inspirational speakers, entertainment, set design, lighting and multimedia production.
