Screen acting training at Pinewood Studios

Actors Studio is a screen acting training institution based at Pinewood Studios with activities also in central London. Founded in 2004 by director and producer Tim Kent and Willow Norton, it presents itself as a practical training centre focused on the professional careers of emerging and working actors. The company states it has over twenty years of experience and alumni from more than fifty countries.

Its offering is structured around three areas: screen acting courses, showreel production and management services. The teaching team is made up of working industry professionals, and the company states that its tutors have worked with performers such as Daniel Craig, Keira Knightley, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Helena Bonham-Carter, Clarke Peters, Mark Rylance, Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.

Screen acting courses

The training programme includes short workshops, a 1 Year Course and masterclasses. The latter are delivered in two formats: at Pinewood Studios and in central London, and combine intensive training with the filming of two bespoke showreel scenes. The training is described as industry-led and can be taken online, in London, at Pinewood Studios and at other international locations.

Showreel production and management services

The company produces professional showreel packages with directors, writers and production teams, creating scenes tailored to each actor's casting profile and career goals. It also offers a management service for advanced performers seeking professional support and access to opportunities in film and television. Among the resources the company states actors can obtain are showreel scenes, professional headshots, short films and casting preparation.

Locations and international presence

In addition to its main base at Pinewood Studios and its activities in central London, Actors Studio lists international locations in Geneva (Switzerland) and Malta, where it has produced work and run intensive programmes. The company also states that it has filmed in Malta and plans to return to Geneva with a five-day screen acting and showreel intensive in August 2026.

Institutional profile and recognition

The company describes itself as a studio built around the actor rather than a conventional drama school. It states that its training is recognised by Spotlight and that its professionals include BAFTA award winners. At the time of the analysis, the website showed a rating within the top fifteen educational institutions on Trustpilot, with testimonials from students based in London and Hertfordshire.

Actors Studio Ltd is a credit broker, not a lender, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with reference number 1050571, and offers credit products from Humm Group Limited (FRN 954478). The company states that it does not charge fees for its credit broking activities.
