About Golf Care

Golf Care, specialist insurance for golfers in the UK

Golf Care presents itself as the UK's largest golf insurance specialist. The company offers policies designed specifically for playing the sport, with cover combining equipment protection and third-party liability. Policies are underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited.

Cover included in golf policies

The offering is structured in four levels of protection —Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum— which differ in the insured value of equipment and territorial scope. All packages include as standard:

  • Public liability up to £10 million, with no excess, for damage to property or injury to third parties while playing golf.
  • Personal accident up to £50,000, covering accidental death, permanent disability, loss of limbs and loss of sight, plus dental treatment with a £50 excess.
  • Cover for clubs and equipment with New for Old replacement for items bought new less than three years ago, provided proof of purchase is available.
  • Bar bill cover in the event of a hole-in-one, up to £200.

Equipment is covered against theft, loss or damage during play and while travelling to and from the course, with a £50 excess. Annual equipment cover limits vary by level chosen: up to £1,500 for Bronze, £2,000 for Silver, £3,500 for Gold and £7,500 for Platinum.

Territorial scope and optional cover

All policies include UK cover as standard. The Gold level adds European cover and Platinum extends protection worldwide. In addition to basic cover, the company offers optional add-ons such as travel insurance, buggy cover, protection for golf societies and groups, and trophy cover.
