Essex Gaming Bus

Essex Gaming Bus: mobile gaming parties in Essex and London

Essex Gaming Bus is a British company specialising in hiring gaming buses and vans for parties and events. Its proposition consists of bringing a climate-controlled gaming space to the client's home, school or venue, with a host who organises and leads the activity from start to finish. The fleet includes both buses and vans, allowing it to cater for everything from children's birthdays to larger school and community events.

Equipment and gaming capacity

The vehicles are climate-controlled, with air conditioning and heating for any time of year. Inside they have PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch consoles, as well as ten gaming screens, including two 55-inch 4K displays. Capacity is up to 16 players inside and up to 19 with the outdoor setup, subject to weather conditions, space and configuration. The company highlights a Fortnite network that allows up to 15 players in the same match. It also offers virtual reality, two racing simulators and, weather permitting, outdoor gaming, Just Dance or karaoke. The title catalogue includes Fortnite, Roblox, Minecraft, Mario Kart and EA Sports FC, among others.

Audience and types of event

Standard parties are recommended from age 7, with games and setup adapted to children, teenagers and adults. There is a specific option for six-year-old birthdays. The company also caters to schools, councils and event organisers: it covers school reward days, Year 6 leavers' events, HAF programmes, activities for people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), festivals, sports events, youth groups, corporate family days and council events. For large events it can deploy several vehicles or combine its offering with the Soft Play Bus and the Pamper Bus.

Experience with institutions and events

Among the clients and collaborations the company mentions are Chelmsford City Council, Enfield Council, South Woodham Ferrers Town Council, Chelmsford City Racecourse, the Waltham Cross Sports Festival and events at Leyton Orient Football Club. It has also taken part in a Tottenham Hotspur community event at the club's training ground. Ilford County High School books three gaming vehicles each year for its pupils, and South Woodham Ferrers Town Council returns for multi-session summer events. The company returns annually to BOSP at Wat Tyler Park, supporting children and families with SEND.

Geographical coverage

How booking and logistics work

The service is booked via an enquiry form or by phone. The bus is 7.5 metres long, roughly the space of two and a half cars, so it requires suitable parking near the address. It needs one standard plug socket for the equipment; a second only if air conditioning or heating is wanted. The company provides 50-metre power leads and can hire a generator for £55 if requested in advance. The booking is secured with a non-refundable deposit of £80, and the remaining balance is due seven days before the event. The company warns that weekend slots fill up quickly.

Prices and promotions indicated on the site

The catalogue shows a base price of £270 for 90 minutes Monday to Thursday and £300 Friday to Sunday, with parties from £270. At the time of analysis, the website advertised a Halloween promotion with 10% off for parties between 30 October and 1 November 2026, valid only for new bookings and with the code HALLOWEEN10; the discount applies to the party price, excluding travel and extras, and with one offer per booking.

Accessibility and reviews

The company offers options adapted for people with SEND, with ramp access available on request and subject to vehicle availability. The site claims to have accumulated more than 1,200 five-star reviews on Google, Facebook, Trustpilot and Tripadvisor. The published testimonials highlight the work of the hosts and the ease of organisation for families.
