Paintshack

Paintshack, online paint and accessories store in the United Kingdom

Paintshack is an online store for paint and complementary items operating in the United Kingdom. According to its own presentation, it is a newly created project whose aim is to sell selected paints and accessories from different countries, based on the idea that the British market is not taking advantage of some outstanding products. The company expressly cites the brands Caparol, Isomat and Two Fussy Blokes as examples of that international catalogue.

The site identifies itself as the home of Caparol paint in the United Kingdom, which places this German brand at the centre of its offering. The company that manages the store appears as Paintshack Ltd.

Brands distributed

The catalogue is organised along two lines: by brand and by product type. Among the brands the store sells are:

• Caparol, with adhesion primers, satin and matt finishes for interior and exterior, and products for wood and metal.
• Isomat.
• Two Fussy Blokes, focused on mini rollers in different sizes and pile thicknesses.
• SurfPrep, with sanding discs, Profoam pads and inspection light bars.
• Deltec Tape, with masking tapes in Gold, Sensitive and Extreme versions, also in full boxes.
• Other brands in the catalogue: Axus, Bedec, Bradite, Colour Cards/Swatches, Corona Brushes, Door Deckers, Exitflex Spray, Indasa, Little Greene Paint, Mirka, Osmo, Paper & Paint Library, Peacock Feather, Prestonett, Beissier, UltraGrime Wipes, Rockler, Rustoleum, Sili Boys, Sundstrom, Timbabuild, Wagner and Zinsser.

Product types

The offering is divided into major sections for paint and accessories. The paint section includes paints, varnishes, hard wax oils and paint strippers. The rest of the catalogue is divided between:

• Application tools: brushes, roller frames and sleeves, scuttles, trays and liners.
• Surface preparation: sanding, fillers, sealants and cartridge guns.
• Protection: gloves, masks and respirators, filters and work overalls.
• Masking: tapes, films and papers.
• Spray equipment and accessories, air compressors and sleeve cleaning machines.
• Wallpaper and associated tools, such as the Peacock Feather wallpaper trimmer.
• Miscellaneous accessories: socket covers, stair rods and other hardware items for painters.
