Chigwell Window Centre

Window and door manufacturer with a network of showrooms in the South East of England

Chigwell Window Centre PLC is a British company dedicated to the manufacture and direct sale of windows, doors, bifold doors, sliding doors, roof lanterns and roof lights. The company presents itself as a manufacturer and sells its products without intermediaries, at prices it describes as competitive. Its activity is aimed at both private homeowners and professionals: builders, developers, architects, project managers and installers.

The company states that it serves London, Essex, Surrey and the surrounding Home Counties, and its commercial coverage extends, according to its own presentation, to Essex, Greater London and the South East of England. It indicates activity since 1996.

Product catalogue

The offer is organised into three main families: doors, windows and roof solutions.

• Doors: back doors, bifold doors, French doors, front doors, internal doors with screens and sliding doors.
• Windows: aluminium, uPVC, bay windows, casement windows, flush casement windows, uPVC sliding sash windows and double glazing.
• Roof and natural lighting: roof lanterns and roof lights.

The site also includes an AI-powered door designer that allows you to visualise how a new door would look on your own home's facade.

Documented projects

The company publishes case studies of completed works that illustrate its capability in different types of commission:

• Treetops School (Grays): supply of specialist windows and doors for a new-build centre for around 140 students with special educational needs.
• Windsor House: installation of 900 heritage-style windows within three months.
• Kingswood: supply of Alitherm 400 Flush Casement windows, Visofold 1000 French and bifold doors and SMART Walls & Gables systems for a residential developer.
• Weston Homes: manufacture and installation of REHAU Total 70 windows and doors for a 50-apartment development in Brentwood.
• Westbush Court: full window renewal on a 12-storey block in Shepherd's Bush, London.
• Dr Sennik: installation of two Ezislide aluminium sliding doors in an extension in Chigwell.

Customer profile

The company segments its offer into four audiences: private homeowners, builders and developers, architects and project managers, and installers. It has a specific service for the professional channel (Trade Services) and a trade counter at its Reading headquarters.

Showroom network

Chigwell Window Centre operates seven showroom spaces distributed across the South East of England, in addition to its head office. The company encourages visiting them to see the product in person and receive advice from the team. The Barnham, Brentwood, Colchester, Epsom, Loughton, Reading and Romford locations have their own opening hours, and in Barnham, Saturday and Sunday attention is by appointment only.

Accreditations and industry presence

The site mentions recognised industry accreditations as a reflection of its commitment to quality and safety, although it does not detail which ones. The company has participated in the Grand Designs Live fair for two consecutive years, with a presence at stand G10.

Corporate activity and sponsorships

The company maintains sponsorship and support activity for local initiatives. Among the actions included in its news section are support for boxer Moses Itauma before his fight against Franklin, a contribution of £9,000 to ensure the Havering St George's Day parade could take place, sponsorship of a local newspaper in support of Teenage Cancer Trust and the opening of its new showroom in Barnham.
