The collection brings together five properties with extensive gardens and grounds, recognised dining options and spa services, as well as spaces for weddings, meetings and events. The company operates under the legal name Utopia Leisure Ltd, with the trading name Alexander Hotels.

The properties in the collection

The collection consists of five establishments, each with its own character:

• Alexander House & Utopia Spa: a five-red-star hotel in the West Sussex countryside, combining Jacobean architecture with contemporary design. It has 56 rooms and suites, including the private Gatehouse residence, the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant Reflections and the award-winning Utopia Spa. Its facilities include outdoor whirlpools, private hot tubs and a barrel sauna, set within 120 acres of gardens and grounds. It offers clay shooting.
• Great Fosters: a five-star Tudor estate on the outskirts of Windsor, with 50 acres of Arts & Crafts gardens. It has 56 individually designed rooms and suites, the Michelin-starred restaurant Tudor Pass and The Estate Grill, with 2 AA Rosettes. In the warmer months, a large heated outdoor pool opens.
• Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa: a 4-silver-star hotel in Kent, 30 minutes from central London. It was the first spa in the collection. It offers personalised service, bespoke interior design, rooms with Egyptian cotton sheets, an award-winning restaurant, afternoon teas and water-based spa treatments at Utopia Spa.
• Barnett Hill: a 4-star hotel in the Surrey Hills, in a restored historic building. It has 56 boutique rooms, suites and residences that combine original features with contemporary design. It is an option for celebrations and relaxing stays, and is dog friendly.
• Langshott Manor: a 4-star manor house in Surrey, for exclusive use for celebrations and retreats. It is known for its dining and for the 'Lovely Langshott' overnight experience. It presents itself as a venue for weddings and special occasions.

Utopia Spas

The Utopia spas at Alexander House and Rowhill Grange are award-winning spaces designed for relaxation. Their facilities include hydrotherapy hot tubs and saunas, and they offer spa treatments. The collection also includes Utopia Retreat at Great Fosters and Utopia Treatment Rooms at Barnett Hill.

Weddings, events and meetings

All five properties have spaces for weddings, meetings and events. Langshott Manor is offered as an exclusive-use venue for weddings, corporate retreats and celebrations. The collection also manages locations for filming and photography, and has spaces for private dinners and larger parties, as well as Christmas and New Year stays.

Dining and accommodation

The dining offering includes the restaurant Reflections (2 AA Rosettes) at Alexander House, the restaurant Tudor Pass (one Michelin star) and The Estate Grill (2 AA Rosettes) at Great Fosters, and the restaurant RG's, with afternoon teas and the Elements bar at Rowhill Grange. The properties offer rooms, suites and residences, with options for dog-friendly stays. The collection also sells gift vouchers and offer packages.

History and organisation

Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa was the first spa in the collection, which began with a small number of rooms. The company operates as Utopia Leisure Ltd, with the trading brand Alexander Hotels, and maintains a careers section with vacancies and CV submissions.
