Scuba Ry Divers: diving and snorkelling in Cornwall

Scuba Ry Divers is a dive centre based in Helston, in the English county of Cornwall. Its activities combine diver training, the organisation of shore dives and the provision of snorkelling experiences, with a marine conservation component focused on lobster releases.

Diver training

The course catalogue ranges from beginner to professional level. The progression includes Scuba Discovery, Open Water Scuba Diver, Advanced Diver, Rescue Diver and Divemaster. The company also offers specialty courses, including Marine Ecosystem Awareness, Research Diver, Night & Limited Visibility, Drysuit Diver, Shore/Beach Diver, Lobster Release Diver, Underwater Navigation and Advanced Buoyancy.

Shore dives

Shore diving trips are organised in three areas of Cornwall: Falmouth, the Lizard Peninsula and Penzance.

Snorkelling and lobster releases

In the field of snorkelling, the centre offers Snorkel Tours, Lobster Release Snorkel and a Learn to Snorkel course. Lobster release is a recurring activity: the site announces that juvenile lobsters are released and publishes a release calendar for 2026 with one-day experiences and two-day courses.

• August: Lobster Release Scuba Experience (one day) on Saturday 1st; Lobster Release Snorkel Experience (one day) on Sunday 2nd; SDI Lobster Release Diver Course (two days) on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th.
• September: Lobster Release Scuba Experience (one day) on Saturday 5th; Lobster Release Snorkel Experience (one day) on Sunday 6th; SDI Lobster Release Diver Course (two days) on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th.
• October: Lobster Release Scuba Experience (one day) on Saturday 3rd; Lobster Release Snorkel Experience (one day) on Sunday 4th; SDI Lobster Release Diver Course (two days) on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th.

Shop hours and diving days

The shop opens on Mondays and Fridays from 11:00 to 18:00. Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays are dedicated to diving activities, while it remains closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
