P & A Wood operates as an authorised Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealer and as an official Heritage Rolls-Royce and Bentley distributor. The company also presents itself as the only Rolls-Royce authorised accident repair agent for the UK and as a Bentley Approved Service dealer. It is a founder member of the Rolls-Royce and Bentley Specialists Association.

History since 1967

Paul and Andrew Wood started the business in 1967 in a workshop in Moreton, Essex, dedicated exclusively to Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars. Andrew was in charge of engineering and Paul of sales and coachwork. In 1970 they moved the business to larger premises in Great Bardfield. The cars restored by the company won numerous awards at concours events.

In 1988 a second move took place to the current site in Great Easton. Alongside the offices, the parts department and the coachwork facility, a building was erected as an engineering workshop, designed specifically for the repair and maintenance of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. In 1995 a traditionally styled two-level showroom was built to display Heritage models. In 2001, the company was appointed Official Rolls-Royce and Bentley Heritage Dealers. In 2014 another traditionally styled showroom was opened for the new Rolls-Royce models.

Team and apprentice training

The company has a team of specialists, some of whom have been present since the early years, including the department supervisors. It has also incorporated a younger generation of technicians and apprentices through its own apprenticeship programme, aimed at passing on the specific skills of classic vehicle restoration.

P & A Wood (UK) Limited acts as an appointed representative of ITC Compliance Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (registration number 313486). Its permitted activities include credit broking, not lending. The company may introduce the customer to a limited number of finance providers and does not charge a fee for its consumer credit services. It does not act as a financial adviser or fiduciary. Finance applications are subject to status, aimed exclusively at UK residents aged 18 or over, and guarantees may be required.

The Great Easton site brings together offices, parts department, coachwork workshop, engineering workshop and showrooms.
