Grayson Installations

Grayson Installations: solar energy for the South East of England

Grayson Installations is a family-run solar PV and battery storage installation company operating across Essex, Kent and South East London. The company presents itself as an MCS-accredited specialist and NICEIC-approved contractor, with over ten years of experience and more than 2,000 installations completed. Its work covers the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.

Installation and maintenance services

The service range includes the installation of solar PV panels, battery storage, electric vehicle chargers, hot water immersion systems, maintenance and repair of existing systems, bird proofing and commercial solar solutions. The company states that all work, from the initial survey to switch-on, is carried out by its own engineers, including maintenance and repair of existing solar PV systems, whoever installed them.

In maintenance, the firm handles inverter faults, panel issues, monitoring problems and system health checks. Bird proofing is offered using discreet, durable mesh and clips to prevent damage, droppings and nesting. For hot water, it supplies the Eddi solar diverter, which channels surplus generation into hot water and heating.

Brands and equipment installed

Grayson Installations works with leading manufacturers. For solar panels, it installs Aiko N-type ABC models, with All Back Contact technology that moves all busbars to the rear of the cell for an all-black finish and high efficiency ratings, and LONGi Hi-MO X10, with HPBC 2.0 back-contact technology, offering high power per square metre of roof and improved shading tolerance.

For storage, the company offers Tesla Powerwall, with 13.5 kWh usable capacity per unit, whole-home backup during power cuts and time-based control to take advantage of low-cost tariffs; Sigenergy SigenStor, a modular 5-in-1 system integrating battery modules, hybrid inverter and intelligent energy management, with an optional DC EV charger; and Fox ESS, with hybrid inverters and modular storage monitored via a mobile app.
