Smart Choice Windows Ltd: uPVC windows and doors in Scotland

Smart Choice Windows Ltd is a family-run company based in Glasgow that provides a supply and installation service across the whole of Scotland. It presents itself as a customer-focused company with five-star reviews and states that it has built its reputation on customer recommendations. The company, registered in the UK with number SC729012, was incorporated on 8 April 2022 and has its registered office in East Kilbride, Glasgow.

Product range

The company works with a wide selection of made-to-measure products, with personalisation options:

• uPVC windows, including sash and casement windows.
• uPVC and composite doors.
• Conservatories, orangeries and roofline products.
• Aluminium bi-fold doors.
• Double and triple glazing, with an 'A' energy rating.

The website catalogue also shows roofline services and new doors, in addition to the glazing solutions. The company states that it offers 'the complete repertoire' in the installation of windows, doors and conservatories.

Energy efficiency and performance

The profiles of the double and triple glazed windows are designed to retain heat: according to the company, pockets of warm air are trapped year-round, even in the coldest of winters, which reduces reliance on central heating and, with it, energy bills and the home's carbon footprint. The double and triple glazing products have an 'A' energy efficiency rating, which helps with heat retention and noise reduction.

10-year guarantee

The company offers a ten-year guarantee on its window profiles, manufactured using tried and tested formulations from approved suppliers. According to its terms, the profiles will not warp, split or discolour for ten years from the date of installation. The guarantee is issued in association with its raw material suppliers and is based on proven technology for UV stabilised products.

Customers and coverage area

Smart Choice Windows serves both residential and commercial clients in all areas of Scotland. Its clientele includes homeowners, estate agents, builders and developers. The company presents itself as a specialist in the installation of windows, doors and conservatories, and states that its solutions can add value to the home.

Finance

The company is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with reference number FRN1047975 for credit brokering in conjunction with the sale of goods only. It describes itself as a credit broker, not a lender, and offers finance facilities through a single lender. The website indicated a 30% off offer and encouraged customers to explore finance options for new windows and doors.

The company maintains a customer service line available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on 0141 413 8420. The process begins with a free quotation and, according to its presentation, the team supports the customer from the first contact through to completion of the installation.
