Baby Mattresses Online

Custom-made baby mattresses manufactured in Lancashire

Baby Mattresses Online is a British manufacturer specialising in mattresses for babies and children that works exclusively to order. From its workshop in the heart of Lancashire, the company combines manufacturing expertise with current safety standards, according to its own presentation. Its catalogue is aimed both at families expecting a first baby and at those moving a small child to a larger bed.

Custom manufacturing for cots, Moses baskets and prams

The core of the business is making mattresses with personalised measurements and shapes. The company states that it can create any size or shape to fit a specific pram or cot, and that it works both with recent models and with family cots inherited from up to fifty years ago. In cases where the piece does not fit a standard format, it is handmade according to the customer's specifications, for which paper templates may be requested.

The catalogue includes custom-made mattresses for Moses baskets, carrycots and prams; for cots, co-sleeping cots and bedside cribs; for large cots; for travel cots; for cot beds; for small beds, and a line of fully sprung mattresses for trucks and long-distance drivers in single sizes.

Materials and customisation options

The company offers foam fillings, supportive springs and high-end natural fibres, together with a wide selection of bespoke covers. The customer can choose between breathable fillings and snuggly or waterproof covers to configure the sleep environment. Complementary products include patterned changing mats, some of which can be personalised.

Safety and guarantee

According to the company's information, all the mattresses it manufactures comply with BS 7177 and BS 18700/EN 16890 standards, which guarantees fire protection and safety appropriate to the specific use of each product. Each piece includes a twelve-month guarantee.

Delivery times and customer service

The usual manufacturing time is approximately 7 to 10 working days. The company points out that, in the event of an unexpected arrival, it offers expedited crafting and shipping on request: simply mark the order as urgent or email the order number. The Lancashire team handles enquiries by email and telephone, and also advises those who are unsure about which option suits their case.

Editorial content and resources for families

The site maintains an advice and news section with articles on infant sleep, such as guidelines for winter sleep, how to help baby keep their cool, the importance of a bedtime routine, the transition from cot to toddler bed and safety in the place where baby sleeps.
