Kick Plate Direct

Kick Plate Direct: door kick plates and architectural hardware in the United Kingdom

Kick Plate Direct is an online store with a British domain that sells door kick plates —known in the trade as kick plates— and a complementary range of architectural hardware. The company presents itself as a supplier across the United Kingdom and states that it ships orders directly from the factory, which, according to its own description, reduces time and costs for the buyer.

Kick plate catalogue

The range of plates is organised by material and finish. The store offers models in aluminium, brass, satin stainless steel, polished stainless steel, treadplate, coloured acrylic, copper and bronze. In addition to conventional plates, the catalogue includes push plates and wall protection panels in stainless steel and copper.

The company states that it has a wide selection of sizes and finishes, and that it can manufacture plates to the customer's measurements and requirements. In its product description it notes that aluminium plates are the most economical option in the range, while stainless steel ones have gained popularity in recent years.

Architectural hardware and accessories

Alongside the plates, the site sells a line of hardware and accessories for doors and architectural spaces. Among the items listed are pull handles on backplate, T bar guardsman pull handles, louvre handles, D handles, oval handles, door stops with and without a lifebelt shape, overhead door closers in size 3 and size 2 to 4, stainless steel fire rated hinges 4" x 3" (per pair), lever on rose handles, wall corner protectors, slotted and rectangular vents, angles and channels, and security products and fixings.

The store also offers screen-printed signage, such as 75 mm diameter signs, and finish samples so that the customer can check the material before deciding.

Service for individuals and trade accounts

The site caters for both private and trade purchases: it includes a form to apply for a Trade Account and another to apply for a credit account. The company highlights expert advice, bulk savings and free shipping on orders over £100 as advantages.

How the store works

Operations are entirely online, with user registration, login by password or OTP and order management through the website. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company kept a notice on the site stating that it remained open and delivering orders, with possible minor delays and following strict social distancing guidelines.
