The Creation Station
British network of art and craft classes for babies, children, and adults, with birthdays, school workshops, and events from its Exmouth headquarters.
About The Creation Station
Sarah Cressall created The Creation Station in 2002 while seeking activities that developed her children’s curiosity. Her experience as a designer and workshop organizer became art and craft programs for families. The first franchise arrived in 2007; the current network works in British communities with classes, celebrations, and adult activities.
Children’s programs distinguish ages and ways to participate. Tiny Treasures creates keepsakes and handmade gifts with babies up to twelve months old. Baby Discover is intended for babies age six to seventeen months, while Little Explorers covers seventeen months to five years. Sessions explore materials through activities adapted to each stage.
Family Fun brings children age two to eleven together with their families. Create Club offers after-school activities around nature, artists, and other ideas. Classes include materials and tools for the projects, with an experimental, creative approach that does not require previous art experience.
Arty Parties organizes birthdays with art and craft activities adapted to the child’s age and celebration theme. Invitations and party bags can be included. The events program extends participation to festivals, community gatherings, and activities booked by organizations, schools, or preschools.
For adults, Create & Sip brings together painting and craft workshops with snacks and drinks. There are sessions for friends, gatherings, and bachelorette parties, alongside activities in residential care homes. Each format develops a social gathering around hands-on work, with options for beginners and people already familiar with a technique.
Head office is at Inspiration House, 5 Hulham Road, Exmouth, Devon. Activities are delivered through local network leaders, with location searches and class or event reservations. The company describes training and background checks for its franchisees and has programs for people who want to operate a Creation Station business in their community.
The project archive adds calligraphy, paper flowers, watercolor, self-portraits, and sketchbook ideas. These complement in-person sessions and allow an activity to continue at home. The Creation Station organizes its offering around making and sharing: learn to handle a material, create an object, and participate in an experience adapted to the group.
