Midas Nights

Midas Nights: buff butlers for events in Scotland and the north of England

Midas Nights is a buff butler hire company operating in Scotland and the north of England. Its butlers, handpicked and professionally trained, do more than serve drinks: they host the event, lead games and activities, and keep guests entertained throughout the celebration. The company presents itself as a specialist in that region and states it has covered more than 500 events, with an average five-star rating.

Services and booking formats

The catalogue includes several experience formats: buff butler, life drawing, cocktail masterclass and champagne butler. The client chooses the service, receives an instant quote through the booking form — calculated according to the package, the number of guests and the location — and pays a £100 non-refundable deposit within seven days to secure the date. The remaining balance is due fourteen days before the event. The company then assigns a specific butler, briefs them on the event and confirms all the details in advance. On the day of the booking, the butler arrives early and gets changed discreetly.

Occasions they work for

The company lists the following types of event:

• Hen parties, which it describes as its most popular booking.
• Birthdays, from 18ths to 50ths.
• Corporate events.
• Private parties.
• Charity events.
• Ladies days.
• Divorce parties.
• Burns Night, the Scottish celebration.

Staff selection and training

According to the company's information, every butler goes through a personal interview and receives professional training as an event host. All services include public liability insurance. The company stresses that its butlers are first and foremost entertainers and hosts, not just servers, and that customer service is handled directly by its team, with no call centres or automated systems.
