Sirius Solar Installations Ltd: solar energy and EV charging in the UK

Sirius Solar Installations Ltd is a Doncaster-based company that designs and installs solar energy systems for homes and businesses across the UK. Its work covers solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers, with a focus on energy efficiency and long-term savings.

Solar panels and storage

The company installs high-efficiency solar panels tailored to each property's energy consumption. It uses 450 W N-Type panels from DMEGC and inverters from manufacturers such as Sunsynk. Systems are designed to allow the later addition of battery storage, with brands such as Sunsynk, Tesla and FOX ESS. The installation process is usually completed in around two weeks, including approval of the application to the network operator (DNO).

EV chargers

Sirius Solar also installs home EV chargers, with brands such as Zappi. This equipment can operate independently or be integrated with the solar system to maximise the use of generated energy. Installing a charger is usually completed within one week.

Installation process and support

The service begins with a personalised quote that includes panels, inverter, battery (if selected), labour, scaffolding, DNO application and commissioning. After acceptance and payment of the deposit, the company handles the site survey and paperwork. Installation is carried out by its own team, usually in a single day, followed by testing and certification. The company processes the MCS, HIES and corresponding certification paperwork. The customer receives an installation pack and has technical support for the lifetime of the system.

Accreditations and warranties

The company states that it holds the following accreditations and partnerships: approved partner of Ideal4Finance, which offers flexible financing options; HIES certification, which provides consumer protection; NAPIT registration as an electrical installer; TrustMark seal, government-backed recognition of quality and customer protection; and MCS certification for the installation of solar systems in accordance with UK industry standards. Sirius Solar Installations Ltd also acts as an Introducer Appointed Representative of Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd, which trades as Ideal4Finance, a credit broker and not a lender (FRN 703401).

Areas covered

Based in Doncaster, the company serves residential and commercial projects across the UK, including homes, businesses, farms, warehouses and commercial premises. Its team has experience managing one of the country's largest solar companies, according to its own presentation.
