Bawtry Paintball & Laser Fields

Paintball and outdoor activities in Bawtry Forest

Bawtry Paintball & Laser Fields is a paintball and outdoor activity centre located in Bawtry Forest, in Doncaster (United Kingdom). The company presents itself as the largest and best paintball and outdoor activity centre in the country, with an area larger than any European centre, and operates across 365 acres of natural forest.

The site has 16 game zones and real film props, such as military jeeps and helicopters, which are integrated into the games. Activities are organised by age and type, with supervision by trained staff and a safety record that the company describes as unblemished.

The Predator, the main attraction

The centre's star attraction is the Predator, a 7-foot-tall (2.1-metre) hunter-warrior whose role is to eliminate players. He only detects those who move: if a player remains completely still, the Predator moves on without confronting them. His firepower and accuracy mean he is rarely defeated.

The activity catalogue is organised by minimum ages and types:

• Paintball for ages 9+, 11+ and 15+, as well as paintball with mini-tanks for ages 15+.
• Low-impact paintball for younger children.
• Laser Combat for ages 6+.
• Archery for ages 6+, with a half-Olympic-sized target range.

The centre also offers a high ropes course, zip lines and climbing wall for year-round use by ages 6 and over, a facility part-funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Groups, celebrations and services

The centre caters to stag and hen groups, birthdays, schools, corporate groups, youth teams and sports clubs, scouts, charity events and uniformed services. It has the Basecamp Cafe and offers gift vouchers. Famous players have taken part at its facilities, including members of One Direction.

The company provides downloads such as birthday invitations for Laser Combat (ages 6+), junior paintball (ages 9+) and regular paintball (ages 11+), as well as posters for organisers and of the Predator.
