Magnet

Magnet, fitted kitchens designed and manufactured in the UK

Magnet is a British chain specialising in fitted kitchens, covering the design, manufacture and installation of its own models. The company presents itself as the UK's longest-running kitchen supplier and manufacturer, with a history spanning over 100 years, and as the largest network in the category, with more than 125 locations nationwide. Its manufacturing plant is in Darlington, where it produces every kitchen using materials selected by its product team.

A catalogue organised by style and colour

The site groups kitchens into three main styles — handleless, Shaker and modern — and offers a style finder to guide customers. The colour selection includes green, blue, neutrals, white, wood, grey, cream, black, pink, red, yellow and cashmere. The company states it has 21 kitchen collections with over 290 finishes. Featured models include Luna, Ambleside, Ludlow, Soho, Ascoli, Wardley, Nova, Brunswick, Hoxton, Nordic Nature and Integra Soho, with starting prices ranging from £1,756 for the Ascoli model to £4,622 for Integra Soho, according to catalogue data.

Bespoke design and support throughout the process

The service is built around a personal designer who supports the customer from the first conversation through to installation. The company offers free design appointments, both in-store and virtual, with expert advice, a quote tailored to the customer's style and budget, and a 3D visualisation of the project. It also provides an online style quiz, an indicative quote calculator and the option to request a call from a local designer. Installation can be arranged with the company's own team or with an external fitter.

Appliances, accessories and finance

Alongside furniture, the catalogue includes appliances (ovens, hobs, hoods, refrigeration, microwaves, dishwashers and wine coolers) and accessories such as worktops, handles, taps, sinks, splashbacks, lighting, doors and floors. On the financial side, the company advertises interest-free credit over two years on all kitchens, buy now pay later with a deposit and no payments for twelve months, and monthly finance up to six years. Specific terms are subject to approval by the finance provider.

Guarantee and customer reviews

Magnet backs its furniture with a lifetime guarantee on cabinets. The company displays an 'Excellent' rating on Trustpilot, with five stars, and presents its own team for design, product development, durability testing and customer service as responsible for taking each project from the first sketch to the final finish.
