Made-to-measure interior shutters in Essex, London and Kent

Shutters By James is an independent family business dedicated to installing luxury interior shutters in homes. It operates mainly in Essex, London and Kent, where it has been providing its service for over ten years, and does not rule out work outside these areas if the size and location of the project allow.

The company presents itself as a local, approachable team with a focus on personalised service. The people who carry out the home surveys are Charlie, Joe and John, who are also responsible for direct contact with the customer throughout the whole process.

Product and manufacturing

All shutters are made to measure, designed to fit any type of window, including shaped windows and bay windows. The range covers a wide variety of styles and colours, with solutions aimed at improving privacy, light control and the aesthetic appearance of each room.

How to book

The process begins with a request for a call through the contact form. The team calls to find out what you need and arrange an appointment. Then an expert installer visits your home to show samples and take measurements, at no cost. After the visit, the company sends a free, no-obligation quote for you to review at your leisure.

Lead times, warranty and payment methods

Installation lead times vary depending on the product chosen, although the company states that its aim is to complete all installations within four to twelve weeks. The work comes with a ten-year warranty. No payment plans or finance options are offered, but major credit cards are accepted.

Service and coverage

The company carries out free, no-obligation home surveys, in which it helps you choose the right window treatment according to the style, budget and features of the home. Its activity is concentrated in South-East England, with Essex, London and Kent as its main areas.
