Shady Tints

In Croydon, Shady Tints brings together window tinting, vehicle vinyl wraps, and paint protection. The company began operating in 2015 and serves private motorists, dealerships, and businesses across South London. Its services range from a single upgrade to broader changes in a vehicle’s appearance or protection.

Window tinting is one of its core services. The company offers options for cars and installs film on commercial vehicles, offices, and storefronts, with privacy, heat control, and UV protection among the stated aims. For customers seeking a different exterior finish, vehicle wrapping applies vinyl to cars, vans, and other surfaces.

Paint protection film, or PPF, uses a clear automotive-grade polyurethane layer to cover bodywork. The lineup also includes vinyl chrome deletion, body-kit installation—including Maxton Design and similar products—and fitting components made from fiberglass or carbon fiber.

The shop also manufactures license plates on-site in 3D, 4D, gel, or standard DVLA styles, using acrylic plates. Its refurbishment work includes restoring damaged or worn alloy wheels. It also offers brake-caliper painting, applying high-temperature paint with an airbrush.

For further customization, Shady Tints offers light tinting and color-shifting chameleon windscreen film. The company lists visible light transmission of 82 to 85 percent for the latter. It also installs security film on vehicle and commercial-property windows; for offices and storefronts, the stated aims include privacy, heat reduction, and UV protection.

The range makes it possible to combine several jobs in one visit, from film installation to wheel refurbishment or plate printing. The site lists starting prices of £130 for window tinting, £20 per meter for wrapping, and £35 for plates; custom wrapping and paint protection require a quote based on the vehicle and finish.

The shop is on Broadfield Close in Croydon. The company says it is near Purley Way, the A23, Sainsbury’s, and IKEA. From this base, it serves Croydon and nearby South London communities including Mitcham, Sutton, Beckenham, Bromley, Purley, and Epsom; its site also shows work for local businesses and dealerships.

By combining tinting, wraps, PPF, license plates, and finishing work, Shady Tints can coordinate appearance and practical upgrades for personal cars, fleets, and commercial spaces. The company brings film, protection, and customization services together, with options for one-off projects as well as broader work.
