Riverside Shutters

Bespoke shutters and awnings for homes in London and the South East

Riverside Shutters is a British company dedicated to the design, supply and installation of bespoke shutters and awnings. Its activity focuses on solving specific domestic needs —privacy, rest, security, thermal and acoustic insulation— through joinery and solar protection solutions. The company presents itself as a team of skilled craftsmen who began in 2006, supplying plantation shutters and wooden blinds to homes in South West London and nearby areas.

Range of shutters and solar protection systems

The Riverside Shutters catalogue covers several product families, with specific options for each room and need:

• Interior shutters: full height, tier on tier, café style, track, shaped and bay window models.
• Shutters by room: solutions for bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, lounge and bi-fold doors.
• Shutters with integrated blackout: a system that combines the shutter with a blackout blind to block light.
• ShutterGuard: security shutters for window protection.
• Awnings: waterproof and retractable models.
• Blind Screen: solar protection products.
• Blinds and security garage doors.

Available materials include MDF, paulownia wood, basswood, white teak and waterproof options. The company also offers a range of handles to customise the shutters.

Materials and finishes

The selection of materials covers different needs and budgets. MDF is offered as a versatile option; paulownia and basswood are lightweight and workable woods; white teak provides durability; and waterproof versions are designed for bathrooms and damp areas. Riverside Shutters also sells sustainably sourced timber and provides information on available colours and frame styles.

Services and buying process

The company carries out a free home survey before installation, which allows measurements to be taken and advice to be given on the most suitable solution. Installation is carried out by professionals. Riverside Shutters offers a ten-year no quibble warranty on its products and provides interest-free credit. In addition, it undertakes to beat any like for like quote the customer receives.
