ECONEXIS

ECONEXIS, solar and battery installer in the South East of England

ECONEXIS is a company that installs solar PV systems and home batteries, based in Chadwell Heath, Romford (Essex). The company presents itself as an MCS-certified installer and has been operating since 2023, with more than 150 installations completed since then. Its working area covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and Kent, as well as nearby towns in those areas.

According to its own presentation, the company stands out by not subcontracting work: it maintains that the same people who design the system are the ones who install it, and that a company owner is present at every installation from start to finish. It also states that it manages MCS certification, the DNO (distribution network operator) application, certificates and all other associated paperwork on the customer's behalf.

Solar systems, batteries and heat pumps

The company's catalogue is organised around three main product lines:

• Solar PV and battery: the company's flagship system, designed to fit the customer's roof, allowing them to generate their own electricity and store it for the evening peak.
• Battery storage: a solution for those who already have solar panels or want to take advantage of cheaper overnight electricity tariffs, with a battery sized to the home.
• Heat pumps: low-emission heating adapted to each home and installed to the same MCS standard.

The site also mentions EV charger installation among the services the company offers.

Published packages and prices

The website shows three fixed packages with installation price and 0% VAT:

• Smart: 10 × 470W panels plus a 5.76 kWh Fox ESS EP6 battery, for £6,890.
• Plus: 10 × 470W panels plus an 11.52 kWh Fox ESS EP12 battery, for £7,990.
• Max: between 15 and 20 × 470W panels plus 23 kWh of storage, for £13,400.

Package prices are based on one roof elevation with a single scaffold lift; extra roof faces or scaffolding are quoted at survey. The company states that 0% VAT on solar and battery is in place until March 2027. The catalogue also includes a solar system from £4,990.

Working process and warranties

The process described by the company consists of three steps: an initial form of around 60 seconds about the home, a free roof design with a fixed price confirmed at survey and, finally, approval and installation, which can be completed in as little as two weeks. The company states that it responds with the design and quote within a usual 24-hour period and that it aims to return calls within 30 minutes.

As for warranties, ECONEXIS states that it works with premium tier-1 panels with a 25-year warranty, backed by an insurance-backed guarantee through the IWA (Independent Warranty Association). The company is registered with TrustMark, NAPIT and RECC, and its MCS certification number is NAP/79987/26/1.
