SleepSoul is a hybrid mattress brand created by Birlea, a family-run company with over twenty years' experience in the furniture sector. The company sells its catalogue through its own website and a network of national retailers, and presents each model as a product designed for deep rest on any type of bed frame or base.

A wide range of models

The catalogue brings together thirteen different designs, as the brand itself states in its presentation. Layered construction of the Space model

The brand details the internal structure of its Space mattress to explain how the product performs. On a non-slip fabric base sits a core of 800 pocket springs that adapt to the shape of the body and prevent the roll-together effect towards the centre. To this are added 1,200 additional mini pocket springs, two layers of 2 cm soft foam, a 2 cm memory foam layer as a transition and a top layer that provides comfort and extra support.

Warranty, handling and packaging

All SleepSoul mattresses include a ten-year manufacturer's warranty, which the company describes as covering the durability and materials of the core. Pillows come with a three-year warranty. The mattresses are delivered compressed and vacuum-packed inside a box, so they take up approximately one eighth of their original volume and expand once unpacked. The company also notes that the design makes it easy to rotate the mattress to promote even wear.

Accolades and retail presence

The brand's blog reports that the Heaven model has been awarded Which? Best Buy for five consecutive years and that the Space 2000 has received the same recognition for six years in a row. The company also announces the expansion of its exclusive retail collection with the launch of the Auro mattress. Distribution is carried out through a network of national stockists, and the brand enables registration of the warranty for purchased products.
