Magowan Tyres

Magowan Tyres is a family business with retail depots in Carrickfergus and Mallusk, Newtownabbey. Its work combines tire sales and fitting with mechanical maintenance, giving drivers the option of ordering tires online or booking work on other parts of their vehicle. The company describes more than 50 years of experience in tires and motor servicing.

Tires and workshop services

The online tire catalog can be searched by vehicle or by tire size, with local fitting forming part of the offer. Wheel alignment is available alongside tire replacement. Drivers can also book battery, brake and exhaust replacement, suspension work, servicing and diagnostic checks.

MOT inspections and checks are included in the mechanical service range alongside routine maintenance and diagnostic work. Customers can select mechanical work separately from a tire order through the website.

Carrickfergus and Mallusk

The Carrick depot is on Belfast Road in Carrickfergus and is the principal contact location for this profile. The second depot is at 62 Mallusk Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 4QE. Mallusk has its own phone, 028 9083 7766, and email address, mallusk@magowantyres.co.uk, so enquiries can be sent directly to the intended branch.

Both locations list free Wi-Fi and a baby-changing station. Mallusk additionally lists a children’s corner. The two depots publish the same weekday opening schedule, shown in the opening-hours section.

Vehicle knowledge and practical information

Magowan’s news and knowledge section discusses tires, brakes and other maintenance subjects, including tire-pressure monitoring systems and awareness of part-worn tires. It also provides a collision report form intended to help drivers record information after an incident.

The business’s Ladies Night classes began in 2017 and form another part of its vehicle-awareness activity. This educational material sits alongside the company’s retail and workshop services, rather than replacing a booking with either depot.
