The Enhanced warranty, presented as the flagship option, extends protection to all mechanical and electrical components unless specifically excluded, for vehicles up to 15 years old and 150,000 miles at inception. It adds components such as mechatronic units, ignition system sensors, driveline and differential components, intercoolers, EGR coolers, superchargers and air suspension. It also includes additional benefits such as catalytic converter (£250 limit), diesel particulate filter (£250), dual mass flywheel (£500), injectors (£500), multimedia system (£500), exhaust including manifolds (£250) and vehicle recovery (up to £100).

Roadside assistance and claims management

All Pinnacle warranties include the Roadside Rescue service once activated. This service includes attendance within 50 minutes, roadside repair attempts, recovery to a local garage of the customer's choice and a hire vehicle when repairs run on. The company highlights its claims management service, with same-day payment where possible: once the claim assessment is completed, a payment link is issued to pay the claim instantly.

What the warranty covers and excludes

Components covered under the Enhanced warranty include braking systems (ABS, calipers, cylinders), casings damaged as a result of a covered component, cooling systems, electrical components (alternator, starter motor, central locking, window motors, wipers, glow plugs, etc.), electronic control units (ECUs) and computers, fuel system (pumps, injectors, regulators), steering, engine (camshafts, crankshaft, block and cylinder head, gaskets, pistons, timing belts and chains), gearboxes and transmissions (automated manual, automatic and all-wheel drive), suspension (shock absorbers, springs, bearings, air suspension), turbochargers and superchargers, ignition system and driveline (differentials, driveshafts, constant velocity joints).

Exclusions include aerials, manifolds, swirl flap mechanisms, brake cables and linkage, frictional materials, hoses and pipes, engine and gearbox mountings, airbags and airbag systems, service components and items requiring periodic replacement, burnt valves, interior and exterior trim, light units, bulbs, telephone systems, wiring looms, chassis, front and rear windscreens, heater elements, lock barrels and mechanisms, coolant hoses, ancillary components, electric handbrake, wiper linkage, bodywork and fixings, fuel tank and lines, bolts, exhaust gaskets, oil seals and oil leaks, heated and air conditioned seat elements, and manual handbrake.

The Enhanced warranty includes additional advantages such as Wear and Tear cover for listed mechanical items on vehicles up to 80,000 miles and 8 years at the point of claim, unlimited repairs up to the aggregate value of the vehicle, consequential damage caused by another covered component, clutch contribution on vehicles up to 90,000 miles (£250 limit), dual mass flywheel contribution on vehicles up to 80,000 miles (£500 limit), battery contribution (£100 limit), software update or reprogramming (£100 limit), sundries (oil, filters, antifreeze) up to £75, wheel alignment up to £50, cylinder head skim (£50), vehicle hire up to 5 days at a maximum of £40 per day (24 hours after registering a claim), European cover up to 90 days and transferable warranty to a new owner with an administration fee of £50.
