Nikos Removals and Storage: removals and storage in Bury St Edmunds

Nikos Removals and Storage is a family-run business based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, which presents itself on its website as a removals and storage service for residential and commercial customers. The company states that it has over 50 years of combined experience and that it moves customers from Suffolk and Cambridgeshire to anywhere in the country. Its activity is structured around three main areas: removals, packing and storage, with specific services for individuals, businesses and items requiring special handling.

Residential and commercial removals

On the domestic side, the company details services for moving houses, flats and apartments, as well as gym equipment. It also offers piano and special item removals, a section that includes antiques and delicate items, with custom packing, careful handling and secure transport. For corporate clients, Nikos Removals provides office removals in which furniture, equipment and documents are moved, with advance planning to minimise disruption to daily operations.

International removals and specialist logistics

The company covers overseas removals, with European and international moving services, full move management, shipping and airfreight. In the commercial segment, the website lists applications such as art logistics, film logistics, gallery and museum moves, and removals in historical and heritage buildings, as well as hotels and restaurants. These services are aimed at clients who need to handle valuable items or environments with specific requirements.

Storage and packing

Storage is offered in monitored, locked units, with staff inventory management and climate-controlled options for delicate items. The company distinguishes between high-value storage, long-term storage, secure storage solutions and containerised storage, and includes a service aimed at interior designers. Available packing materials include boxes, tape, bubble wrap and protective covers. The professional packing service covers wrapping fragile items, securing boxes and labelling all contents.

Early collection and man and van service

Nikos Removals allows items to be collected before the moving date for storage, an option the company presents as a way to reduce the pressure of moving day and make planning more flexible. The team labels, packs and stores goods until delivery. The company also offers a man and van service for quick moves, with collection and delivery of items and an organisation designed to save time.

Coverage area and customer reviews

The company operates from Chedburgh, England, and serves mainly customers in Bury St Edmunds and Suffolk, extending to Cambridgeshire. The website includes testimonials from customers in locations such as Ramsey and Willingham, in Cambridgeshire, and Stowmarket, in Suffolk, who highlight punctuality, the team's manner and the care taken with the home and belongings. The company states it has been chosen by 20,000 moving customers and describes its service as award-winning, a point that corresponds to its own presentation.
