The Alphabet Gift Shop

The Alphabet Gift Shop: personalised gifts and café in Staffordshire and Derbyshire

The Alphabet Gift Shop is a gift and homeware shop operating two stores in England, each with its own café space. Its offering focuses on selected pieces for specific occasions and products that can be personalised, with an online sales presence as well.

Product selection and brands

The catalogue is organised around gifts for her, for him, for babies and children, jewellery, homeware, stationery and greeting cards. The company states that it chooses well-made, unique and memorable items, many of which are made in the UK by local artisans. Among the brands it carries are Alice Wheeler, East of India, Jellycat, Joma, Katie Loxton, Rosie Made A Thing, Toasted Crumpet and Wanderflower.

Personalisation and gifts by occasion

A significant part of the business is gift personalisation, presented as a simple option for the customer. The shop groups its offerings by occasions such as Father's Day, baby shower, new home, wedding, new baby, birthdays and anniversaries, plus a specific section of cards for those same celebrations and gift bags.

• Jewellery: bracelets and anklets, earrings, necklaces and jewellery storage.
• Babies and children: gifts for newborns, soft toys, ragdolls, toys, books and children's accessories.
• Homeware: soft furnishings, kitchen and dining, home accessories, candles and decorative objects.
• Stationery: notebooks, journals, planners and desk accessories.
• Own collections such as Citrus Brights, with colourful homeware, accessories and gifts.

Two shops with café

The company describes its two locations as welcoming spaces where a visit includes both shopping for gifts and seasonal items and a break in the café. The Burton-on-Trent shop also keeps the café open on Sundays, while the Mickleover shop is closed that day. The company notes that opening hours may vary on public holidays.

Customer service and reviews

The shop collects customer reviews on Feefo and highlights comments about counter service, quick resolution of stock issues and the quality of certain products. It also offers email support, a live chat on its website and a contact form, as well as a loyalty programme and email newsletters.
