Caswell House is a family-run estate located in the heart of the Cotswolds, in Oxfordshire, dedicated to hosting weddings and events with exclusive use. Its origins date back to 1485 and it retains restored barns and stone buildings that combine historic heritage with contemporary comfort. The estate, once a working farm, is managed by siblings Kate and Will, who continue their parents' work.

Spaces and capacity

The venue features restored barns and English-style gardens. Capacity is 140 guests for ceremony and dining, and up to 200 attendees for the evening celebration. The estate is offered exclusively, so each event has use of all spaces, including the private gardens and stone barns. The estate also has its own natural spring.

Accommodation and catering

Caswell House has guest accommodation rooms, described as comfortable and full of character, designed for a one-night stay. Food and drink service is provided by Caswell Kitchen, which according to client testimonials has served some of the wedding dishes most highly praised by guests. The menu is based on seasonal produce.

Events and services

In addition to weddings, the estate hosts private events and wellness retreats. The team, with over 15 years of experience in organising weddings and events, handles coordination and details, working with local suppliers. The estate presents itself as a space where tradition is reimagined and where spontaneity and meaningful moments are welcomed.

History and sustainability

The estate retains 15th-century elements, such as slate roofs and stone arches, along with later additions such as the Granary and the Coach House, sensitively restored. Sustainability is a stated pillar of its management: the aim is to protect the English countryside, preserve heritage and maintain a balance between tradition and innovation. The buildings have been adapted respecting their history and natural materials are used.
