Jefferson Calor Gas: LPG distribution for homes and businesses in southern England

Jefferson Calor Gas presents itself as one of the leading suppliers of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on the south coast of England, with more than three decades of activity in an energy market that the company itself describes as flexible and environmentally friendly. It supplies gas cylinders to homes and businesses in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Kent, which use this fuel for a wide range of applications.

The company operates through several local depots and offers free same or next day delivery, according to the company. Orders can be placed online, by phone or by email, and the website states that the online purchase process is completed in less than two minutes.

Cylinder and refill catalogue

Jefferson Calor Gas's catalogue includes Calor propane and butane cylinders, refills in various capacities — including the new 3.9 kg and 4.5 kg ones —, Campingaz cartridges (such as models 907 and 904) and Patio Gas cylinders for barbecues, with the option to purchase without needing to hand in an empty cylinder. The company also sells 13 kg Patio Gas refills, priced at £61.37 at the time of scanning, and offers the possibility of purchasing a new 13 kg cylinder by adding the initial refill agreement cost of £54.99.

The website notes that Calor UK Ltd has introduced a temporary volatility surcharge on 5 kg and 13 kg Patio Gas refills, and that the company encourages customers to improve the availability of their cylinders.

Gas equipment and accessories

In addition to cylinders, the company distributes equipment and accessories for gas installations: regulators, changeover valves and hoses, connectors, adaptors and accessories, blowtorches and burners, boiling rings, gas barbecues and patio heaters. In the heating section there are infra-red and catalytic mobile heaters, flame effect Calor gas heaters, greenhouse heaters and industrial gas heaters.

The catalogue also mentions specific products such as Bullfinch blowtorches, Primus 2000 and Sievert torch handles, propane for roofing torches, forklift gas and portable domestic-style heaters, including the Manhattan and Provence Living Flame log effect heater, the catalytic heater, the Blue Flame and the Backup mobile infra-red heater, which the company describes as widely used in winter to control central heating costs.
