Chris James Building Services

Chris James Building Services, extension and renovation builders in Somerset

Chris James Building Services is a building company based in Bridgwater that works with private homeowners in Bridgwater, Taunton and other parts of Somerset. Its activity focuses on residential projects of a certain scale, managed from start to finish by a single team.

The company presents itself as an option for those seeking cost control, adherence to deadlines and a finish in line with expectations, as well as clear communication throughout the build. According to the company, a good part of its workload comes from recommendations by previous clients.

Extensions, renovations and conversions

The service range is organised into four main areas:

• Extensions: additions designed to blend in as another part of the home.
• Renovations: full renovations and interior alterations in Bridgwater and Taunton.
• Conversions: transformation of garages and other spaces in the house to make better use of the existing floor area.
• Kitchens: complete kitchen projects managed as part of a larger build.

Service area

The company carries out its projects in Bridgwater, Taunton, Burnham on Sea and Weston super Mare, and states that it knows the types of housing common in these areas and how to approach the particularities of each project.

Working method

The process described by the company is structured in five stages: an initial conversation to learn about the client's ideas and goals; a visit to the property to study the space and assess options; delivery of a detailed quote with a defined scope of work; planning and execution of the build with regular updates; and completion of the project ready for use.

This approach is based on clear communication from the outset, a defined scope of work, suitable scheduling and a single team in charge of the construction.

Completed projects

Among the works documented by the company are a full kitchen renovation and installation in Somerset, a home renovation in Cannington and a commercial office renovation in Bridgwater.
