The Tuition Centre

The Tuition Centre: private tuition in Bradford and Leeds

The Tuition Centre is a tuition centre founded in 2014 that operates in Bradford and Leeds (United Kingdom). Its activity is based on subject specialist teachers and small groups, and its public presentation highlights a track record of academic results and several awards received by its branches.

Subjects and levels covered

The centre organises its offer by educational stage and subject:

• Primary: Maths and English.
• 11+ entrance exam: Maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
• Key Stage 3: Maths, English and Science.
• GCSE: Maths, English and Science.
• A-Level: English and Science.

Method of work

The process begins with a free assessment designed to identify the student's gaps and strengths. From that diagnosis, an individualised learning programme is drawn up, with paper-based resources and aligned with the British national curriculum.

Classes are taught in small groups of 2 to 4 students, which according to the centre allows more direct time to be devoted to each student. Weekly sessions last 75 minutes and include homework. Monitoring is completed with exams at the end of each cycle and with regular progress reports, as well as regular communication between tutors and families.

Exam preparation and results

Among the services detailed on the website is specific training in exam techniques and time management. The testimonials from families collected on the site mention progress of up to three grades in one academic year, improvements of two grades in GCSE subjects and access to university Medicine studies after A-Level Biology and Chemistry preparation.

Branch network

The centre has three branches in Bradford (Listerhills, Toller and Thornbury) and one in Leeds (Harehills), the latter indicated as opening soon at the time of registration. Each branch has its own contact email address.
