Allerton Windows is a family-run business based in Bootle (Merseyside) specialising in the manufacture and installation of windows, doors, conservatories, orangeries and home extensions. Founded in 1995 on Sugar Street (Aintree) with four employees, the company presents itself as the largest independent local specialist in the North West for window, door and conservatory replacement. In 1996 Tony Hanratty took over as managing director and steered the business towards the installation and manufacture of these products. The company currently has more than 30 employees and operates from premises that include a factory, offices and a showroom.

Windows and doors

The window range includes bespoke, aluminium, heritage, double glazing, uPVC and French windows. All are produced individually to the customer's specifications. The company builds Edwardian and lean-to conservatories, as well as orangeries, and carries out conservatory roof replacements. For the latter, it installs Celsius solid roofs, which can be fitted onto existing conservatories to improve thermal insulation and energy efficiency. Tony Hanratty, managing director, completed his glass and glazing apprenticeship with JJ Myles in Bootle after leaving Hugh Baird College at 16 and gained experience contracting glazing services across the UK before founding Allerton Windows.
