The Infinite Loop

The Infinite Loop: Apple repair, sales and leasing in Birmingham

The Infinite Loop is a British workshop based in Birmingham dedicated to the repair, sale and leasing of Apple products. The company presents itself as an alternative to the brand's official stores, with nationwide service and a history that, according to its own account, began 33 years ago, five years after Steve Jobs introduced the Mac in 1984.

Apple device repair

The workshop repairs iMac, MacBook, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Specific services include MacBook logicboard repair, MacBook screen replacement and iPhone data recovery. The company offers free diagnosis and operates a 'no fix, no fee' policy, as well as free nationwide shipping. It states that it has accumulated over 300 four- and five-star reviews on Trustpilot and Google.

Sales of new and refurbished devices

In addition to repair, The Infinite Loop sells Apple equipment, both the latest hardware and more affordable refurbished options. The company states that its team has over 50 years of combined experience in supporting and servicing Apple users. On sales it offers up to 36 months warranty, flexible financing options and free shipping.

Business leasing

For business owners, the company offers leasing of new and used Apple devices, with terms ranging from 12 to 60 months. The catalogue shows a refurbished Mac from £17 per month. The leasing service includes advice on the most suitable equipment, hardware cover and software support throughout the contract, as well as loan equipment should a device need to return to the workshop for repair.

Team and working method

The team consists of three people: Will, managing director, who runs the company and still provides telephone support; Jake, repair technician trained through an internal apprenticeship programme; and David, technician with over 15 years of experience in electronics repair. The company trains its own engineers through apprenticeships, a process that it says takes a couple of years.
