EasyShed

EasyShed, British manufacturer of made-to-measure wooden sheds

EasyShed is a family-run company based in Birmingham that manufactures wooden sheds, summerhouses and garden storage solutions. The company states it has been operating since 1995 and works without intermediaries: its products are manufactured, delivered and fitted by its own team, which according to its presentation keeps quality control at every stage.

Production takes place in its Birmingham workshop using solid sustainably sourced timber and traditional construction methods. The company states that its team of carpenters has more than 50 years of combined experience and that it is insured and VAT registered.

Online design: two tools to configure your shed

The site offers two ways to configure a shed before ordering. The first is a step-by-step builder, aimed at first-time buyers, which guides the choice of style, size, roof type, doors, windows and upgrades across six stages. The second is an advanced single-page customiser, aimed at those who prefer to see all the options at once and edit more quickly.

Both tools show the updated price as options are changed and allow you to choose from thousands of combinations. Available roof styles include apex and pent, and configurable options include size, cladding, doors and windows.

Product ranges

• Garden sheds: a range of styles and sizes for different types of garden.
• Summerhouses and garden rooms: spaces to relax, work or entertain.

• Beast Shed: a reinforced timber option for demanding storage and workshop use.

The catalogue shows starting prices for several ranges: the essential classic shed from £531, the tanalised from £631, the secure storage shed from £584 and the Beast Shed from £882. The company also sells ex-display and clearance sheds.

Manufacturing and guarantee

Buildings are made to order, with the possibility of bespoke sizes and options to suit the available space. EasyShed declares a ten-year guarantee on its products and uses pressure-treated timber in certain ranges to extend their useful life. The company warns that the measurements of planed timber are nominal and approximate due to the planing process, and that wood, as a natural material, may change according to environmental conditions.

Delivery and fitting

Delivery and fitting are free on orders that meet the stated conditions for England and Wales. In Scotland a fitting charge applies. The company's professional fitters build the shed in the customer's garden. The site refers to its delivery page to check the applicable cost in each case.

Customer rating and strength test

The company shows a rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot and states it has supplied thousands of sheds. On its website it shares a full-scale load test in which one of its wooden sheds is subjected to a strength test, also available on YouTube.
