JD Furniture

JD Furniture, affordable furniture with UK delivery

JD Furniture is a furniture store that operates primarily online and states it has been active since 2014. Its catalogue is organised by room — living room, bedroom, dining room, bathroom, kitchen, hallway, office, kids and garden — and also includes a sports goods section. The company describes itself as an affordable furniture retailer for the British market, with delivery and returns across the UK.

Catalogue by room and product types

The range covers furniture and home accessories. In the bedroom there are beds and frames, wardrobes, chests and bedsides, storage solutions, dressing tables, headboards and mattresses. The living room brings together TV units, bookcases, sofas, sideboards, footstools, armchairs, sofa beds, coffee tables, nest of tables and display cabinets. For the dining room, tables, chairs, complete sets and bar stools are listed. The kitchen includes units and other items, while the bathroom focuses on storage units. The hallway has shoe storage, hallway storage, coat and hook stands and console tables. The office section offers desks, chairs and storage, and the kids section combines toys and games, beds and mattresses, kids furniture and garden furniture for kids.

Outdoors, patio sets, BBQs, sun loungers and garden furniture for kids are sold. The sports goods category includes exercise machines, dumbbells, weight benches and weight plates.

Clearance outlet and kitchens

The store keeps a clearance section with hundreds of ex-display and discontinued furniture lines, presented as designer bargains at reduced prices. It also has a kitchen clearance warehouse offering ex-display and discontinued kitchen furniture and appliances, with worktops, sinks, taps and other components. The company states that its kitchen units are manufactured under licence from the original designers and that individual modules can be mixed and matched or complete sets purchased.

Buying model and customer service

JD Furniture states that it works directly with international manufacturers to offer discounts on affordable furniture and that it has several payment options, quick delivery and returns across the UK. The company describes a customer service team to handle furniture-related queries. Featured products in the catalogue include a Walker Edison Metal X bookshelf in grey wash, a Seville 2 piece 1 door wardrobe set in oak, a 2 burner gas BBQ with side burner, a Home Hearts single metal bed in white, a Dixon two-seater sofa in grey and a Habitat Morillo tall chest of drawers in blue, with prices at the time of analysis ranging from £55.99 to £115.99 and discounts of around 19-20%.
