Beauty research without animal testing
The company states that it does not test its products on animals and that, since 1989, fourteen years before European regulations required it, it stopped assessing the safety of its products through animal testing. As part of that approach, more than forty years ago it pioneered the development of reconstructed human skin to evaluate how cosmetic ingredients and products behave on human skin.
Public reports and corporate policies
The subsidiary publishes corporate and compliance documentation, including the L'Oréal UK Limited retirement benefits plan, financial statements, a 2025 modern slavery statement, general terms of sale, UK and Ireland gender pay gap reports, and various privacy policies aimed at models, event attendees, research and innovation volunteers, and talent partners.
