Loaded Dice

Loaded Dice combines online retail with a brick-and-mortar store for people interested in tabletop games, miniature games, and model-making. Its Holton Road shop in Barry lets customers browse in person, ask the team for advice, and collect online orders. The company says its catalog includes more than 10,000 products and welcomes first-time hobbyists as well as experienced players.

Warhammer makes up a substantial part of the selection, with Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, and Horus Heresy, plus books, magazines, dice, miniatures, starter sets, and preorders. Paints and model-building supplies sit alongside those games, so shoppers can choose a system and find the tools and materials for building a collection or getting ready for a game.

The trading card game section includes Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon, Gundam, and Final Fantasy. Card sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, binders, and other protective accessories are also available. The range brings established games together with launch products and preorders when offered.

The catalog extends beyond miniatures and cards. It includes board games, dice, role-playing accessories, and Dungeons & Dragons products, from books and figures to collectibles. There are also miniatures from other makers, action figures, and pop-culture items, broadening the store’s appeal for people who move between gaming, painting, reading, and collecting.

For painting and assembly, Loaded Dice carries Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, AK Interactive, and other paint brands, as well as brushes, adhesives, tools, basing materials, and airbrushing supplies. The store organizes products by brand, paint type, color, and use, making it easier to restock hobby basics or gather supplies for a particular project.

The shop is on Holton Road, one of Barry’s main shopping streets. The store describes it as step-free accessible; Barry and Barry Docks train stations are a short walk away, and nearby options include on-street parking and town-center lots. That setting makes it a place to browse in person as well as an online retailer.

Online orders connect with the shop through in-store pickup in Barry; the company says orders from its warehouse are usually ready the next day. It also advertises a 60-day returns policy, with terms for both in-store and online purchases. In 2025, Loaded Dice was named Retail Business of the Year at the Vale & Bridgend Business Awards, a distinction that complements—rather than replaces—the range visible across its catalog.
