Wessex Garage Doors: garage door installation and repair in South East England

Wessex Garage Doors is a British company specialising in the supply, installation, automation and repair of garage doors. With more than three decades in business — the firm presents itself as a specialist since 1989 — it serves homeowners in Surrey, Kent, Sussex and Dorset, as well as London. Its team offers local advice, free home surveys and written quotations.

The company has a large showroom in Banstead (Surrey) where it displays working garage doors so customers can compare styles, materials and finishes before deciding. The catalogue includes hundreds of models and is organised by door type, material and manufacturer.

Types of garage doors available

Wessex Garage Doors' range covers the main solutions on the market, with manual, electric and automated options:

• Sectional doors: stand out for their thermal insulation, security and modern appearance; available in natural wood tones or painted colours and made to measure.
• Up-and-over doors: a reliable and cost-effective option, available in steel, GRP and timber, with made-to-measure sizes and a 12-month installation warranty.
• Roller doors: compact and space-saving, ideal for garages and driveways where every inch counts; available in wood or painted finishes.
• Side-hinged doors: practical for garages used as storage or workshops, with traditional outward opening and easy pedestrian access.
• Electric doors: designed for greater convenience, security and access without getting out of the car; automation of existing doors is also offered.
• Bespoke doors: for irregular openings, specific property styles or unique dimensional requirements.

Materials and manufacturers

The catalogue is also organised by material: steel, GRP, timber, wood effect, insulated doors and windowed doors. Among the manufacturers the company distributes are Aluroll, CDC, Cedar Door, Garador, Hormann, Novoferm, SWS UK and Teckentrup.

GRP doors are presented as an alternative that combines the appearance of wood with the strength and low maintenance of this composite material; the company offers a colour matching service. Steel doors are described as strong, secure and low maintenance, with a wide range of designs and finishes.

Repair and maintenance services

In addition to installation, Wessex Garage Doors provides repair, spare parts supply and maintenance services in Surrey, Kent and Sussex. It handles issues such as doors that are stuck, noisy, damaged or difficult to open, as well as component replacement. The company offers a lock replacement and repair service, sectional door repairs and a free online repair estimate.
