The Profiles Range: British artisan ornamental ironwork

The Profiles Range is an ornamental ironwork workshop based in the United Kingdom that handcrafts decorative and functional metal products, with special attention to animal lovers. The company presents itself as a business with an artisan character, with the motto "Handmade Lovingly in Britain with Heritage and Heart", and sells its catalogue through its online shop.

Product catalogue

The range is organised into four main families: weathervanes, hanging basket brackets, signs and name plates, and gifts. Within each, designs are grouped by theme, making it possible to find pieces with motifs of birds, cats and pets, dogs, farmyard animals, horses, mythical creatures, sport and leisure, transport and wildlife.

Weathervanes

Weathervanes are offered in versions for birds, cats and pets, dogs, farmyard animals, horses, mythical creatures, sport and leisure, transport and wildlife. Examples in the catalogue include the cockerel weathervane, with prices starting from £30.

Hanging basket brackets

Hanging basket brackets follow the same thematic classification as the weathervanes: birds, cats and pets, dogs, farmyard animals, horses, mythical creatures, sport and leisure, transport and wildlife. A notable example are the beagle hanging brackets, from £22.50, or the bird nest hanging brackets, also from £22.50.

The signage section includes stable door name plates, stable door plates, gate plates, hanging signs, number plates, post boxes, picture plates, sign plates, verge signs and Yorkshire signs. Stable door and bedroom door name plates are also offered, as well as hanging house signs and metal house numbers.

Gifts

The gifts section brings together items such as glass hooks and hangers, gifts for equestrians, for the kitchen, bathroom, garden, home and memories. The catalogue also includes practical and decorative objects such as bookends, boot racks, coat racks, curtain holdbacks, doorstops, garden potties, hose tidies, key racks, kitchen roll holders, letter racks, loo roll holders, medal hooks, metal door hooks, mug trees, metal thermometers, note blocks, phone stands, post boxes, post tops, rosettes, silhouettes, sink tidies, wind chimes and wine bottle holders.

Personalisation and unique pieces

Some products can be personalised, such as the Berlin medal hooker, available in a personalised version. The catalogue also includes special editions and panoramic designs, as well as simple metal silhouettes based on the house designs. The company describes its traditional hanging signs as signature pieces, conceived with a marked ornamental character.
