Mouldd, epoxy resin and craft kits in the United Kingdom

Mouldd is an online shop based in the United Kingdom that sells epoxy resin and beginner craft kits. Its catalogue is organised around three main types of resin —original, deep pour and UV—, complemented by silicone moulds, pigments, themed kits and its own line called Marbelux. The company presents itself as the UK's highest-rated resin brand and states it has more than 100,000 artist users.

Types of resin and applications

Original resin is intended for general use and beginners. According to the shop's information, it is heat resistant, bubble free and cures in 24 hours; it is used for coasters, home decor, jewellery, top coating, woodworking and small moulds. Deep pour resin, with a 2:1 mixing ratio, is aimed at larger pieces such as river tables, floral preservation or large moulds; it supports pours up to 100 mm deep and cures in 72 hours. UV resin cures in two minutes under ultraviolet light and is indicated for small jewellery and coating pieces such as clay.

The company states that its resins are heat resistant (90 °C), suitable for food contact and, in the case of the original, have a 1:1 mixing ratio. It also notes that they are non-toxic and free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and recommends working in well-ventilated spaces and using the gloves included in the kits. Resistance to discolouration is presented as a key feature: according to its tests over more than 36 months, the resin maintains clarity without signs of yellowing.

Beginner kits and featured products

The catalogue includes beginner kits designed as gifts and for those approaching resin for the first time. Among the most popular are the Resin Coaster Kit, which contains everything needed to make ten coasters and includes reusable jugs, moulds, colours and video tutorials; the Epoxy Resin Kits; the Deep Pour Epoxy Resin Kit; the UV Resin Kit; and the Ultimate Resin Kit. Themed kits are also offered, such as the candle making kit, the Christmas decorations kit, the Marbelux Home Decor Kit and the Ultimate Craft Gift Bundle.

The Marbelux line has its own kits and beginner kits, as well as pigments. The shop also sells silicone moulds, with bundles such as the Starter Bundle, the Mix & Match Bundle and the Halloween Bundle, and a selection of individual moulds. The Resin Coaster Kit is described as the best way to learn, with full instructions and video tutorials.
