Firewood Express

At Newton of Boysack Farm near Arbroath, Firewood Express builds its operation around a straightforward product: firewood prepared for homes and trade customers. The family-run company describes a process that runs from sourcing and cutting to drying and packing, with orders handled online or by phone and delivered to customers.

The range distinguishes kiln-dried firewood from semi-seasoned logs, two options with different preparation times. The company says its kiln-dried logs are conditioned to below 20% moisture and supplied ready to burn; it also offers 8- and 10-inch log lengths to suit stoves and fireplaces of different sizes.

Larger formats include giant nets, including two-cubic-meter options, alongside smaller nets and birch logs. The catalog also lists play-grade woodchip, stove wood, semi-seasoned firewood, kindling, wax firelighters, starter packs, and heat logs. Together, those lines can cover everything from lighting a fire to stocking up for the season in one order.

For hardwood firewood, the business describes a blend of beech, birch, oak, ash, sycamore, and alder. Its softwood stove logs are larch. These details help customers compare the company’s different products, although the best choice also depends on the appliance and how the wood will be used at home or at a business.

Firewood Express says it processes and packs the wood at its own facilities and uses specialized machinery to handle larger orders. The company publishes an annual capacity of up to 15,000 cubic meters; that scale serves alongside smaller household orders and supply for trade customers.

Customers can order online, select a delivery date, or call the order line. The company advertises delivery across the UK, including areas such as the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, and presents free delivery as part of its service. Applicable terms are shown for the product and destination during checkout.

The Arbroath address is the farm and operating base identified in the company’s information; its stated service model centers on orders and delivery rather than a walk-in retail store. For anyone stocking a stove, fireplace, or commercial operation, the catalog brings together different wood types, drying levels, and delivery sizes from one supplier.
